The Sri Lankan government has come to be known as being reactive rather than proactive, when it comes to security issues. The last few days were no different. In the aftermath of the suicide attack aimed at EPDP leader Douglas Devananda and the parcel bomb which exploded in Nugegoda the same evening killing several civilians, the security establishment in the country seems to have gone rather berserk.
