DEATH OF MP MAHESWARAN

With the dawn of the New Year assassins murdered the MP T. Maheswaran and his body guard leaving two others wounded. The people of Sri Lanka could not even take a moment to enjoy the New Year. It is to be noted that the security of T. Maheswaran was withdrawn by the government a few weeks ago as he was a strident critic of the government. He was also earlier a target of an LTTE attack.
