The Foundation for Co-Existence (FCE) has been engaged in addressing the land question in the East and in the North of Sri Lanka since 2002. As an organization whose mandate is Human Security and promote coexistence amongst all the communities in Sri Lanka, the Foundation for Co-Existence saw that the land question in the Eastern and the Northern Provinces had been a major obstacle in building trust and coexistence amongst the Tamils, Muslims and the Sinhalese living in those provinces.
