This article is a reflection of the conflict and war in Sri Lanka. For many years, Sri Lanka has been a test case for many types of conflict resolution theories and practices. Many efforts have been made to resolve the conflict both through outside intervention and internal efforts. They have all failed. In a way, the experiences of Sri Lanka demonstrate the failure of traditional conflict resolution methods and third party interventions.
